(Kingston, N.J., July 28th, 2012)  The Parkinson Alliance (PA) is proud to announce their participation in the upcoming first ever European Unity Walk, a momentous 1.6-km procession to unite hundreds of supporters from across Europe.

The European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA) announced that they are organizing the first European Unity Walk, which will be held on Friday, September 28th, 2012, in Amsterdam.  The EPDA says this will be a unique event that aims to raise awareness, across Europe, about Parkinson’s disease and its impact on people living with the disease, their families, and our entire society.  Participants from all over the world are encouraged to attend and more than 300 walkers from 20 countries have registered so far.

The Parkinson Alliance will be present and will be amongst the participants during this inaugural year.  As the organization that administers the Parkinson’s Unity Walk® held in New York, PA will be represented in Europe by its CEO, Carol Walton.  Carol Walton will present a welcome message to first year event participants.  PA is proud to work collaboratively with organizations from various countries, like EPDA, to raise global awareness about Parkinson’s disease.
